Biography
Dr. Ye obtained both her BS and MS degrees from Nanjing Forestry University in 2006 and 2008, respectively. In 2009, she entered a jointly supervised doctoral program between Nanjing Forestry University and Georgia Institute of Technology, and received her Ph. D degree in 2013. Following, she joined Prof. Vladimir Tuskruk’s group at Georgia Institute of Technology as Postdoc Research Fellow from 2013-2015. After this, she moved to Germany as a recipient of Humboldt Research Fellow, working at Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research from Dec. 2015- Aug. 2018. In September 2018, Dr. Ye joined the School of Physical Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University as an Assistance Professor (Tenure-track), PI.

Research Interests
In nature, for sustaining life and maintaining biological function, perfect examples of tailored molecular assemblies and interfaces have been demonstrated, which provide specific chemical functions and structures. Inspired by the nature, the research interests of Ye Group mainly focus on design and fabrication soft matter based biomimic micro/nano structures with environmental stimulated functions. The research topics include: 1. Polymer based responsive 3D actuator; 2. Plasmonic nanoparticle assembly and chiral optical properties; 3. Application of biomaterial based micro/nano structures in biological science.
